This Project has been shortlisted on the national Association of Professional Landscapers Awards (taking place March 2019)

This recently converted Barn, part of a larger project, use to house cows and straw and subsequently the area left for a ‘garden’ needed a strong vision!
The clients wanted a garden that included a good sized lawn, space to dine and relax and a design that made the recently refurbished outhouse-now- games-room feel part of the garden. The views of open fields were to remain open and a way of retaining the higher level soil of the fields was to be sought. This resulted in a traditional stone wall being constructed with a planted bank to the rear which now blurs the lines between the end of the garden and the start of the countryside, lengthening the view.

One other requirement was that it was pretty and attractive to look at but not in a full blown traditional cottage garden way as time and maintenance were a key consideration.
