After

Project 9 Rural Village Front Garden

After having designed, built and planted the client’s rear garden 5 years previously we were then asked to transform their front garden. Originally all lawn the client wanted to remove the lawn as mowing such a small area divided by a path was both time consuming and unsatisfactory! They also felt it looked quite boring for a house that had a prominent position in the village. A huge yew had to be removed and this let in so much more light.

The design was very in keeping with the double fronted Georgian frontage and included rustic brick edging, gravel paths and two parterres, flanked by pretty perennial borders. The small commercial building next door was hidden with trellis and a wisteria which now over 5 years on is looking beautiful!
