The most noteworthy thing about gardeners is that they are always optimistic, always enterprising, and never satisfied. They always look forward to doing something better than they have ever done before.
The love of gardening is a seed once sown that never dies.
I’ve always believed in spending life doing what you most enjoy and have followed my heart to achieve this, hence a rather unconventional career path to spending the last 15 years in Garden Design.
From University, I worked in London as a PR Consultant in the Classical Music industry for the London Symphony Orchestra and represented a range of world class International musicians and helped set up the now thriving City of London Festival.
Family history and a love of the sea led to a career in the Royal Navy as a Warfare Officer at sea, which left me with an invaluable skill set of man management skills, organisation, perseverance, hard work and diligence taught by one of the most envied institutions in the military world. An unfulfilling stint in HR, post-Navy left me reassessing what I really wanted to do and led to the conclusion, that I wasn’t doing it!
Now happily settled in Cheshire with my young family and a successful Garden Design business I have found my career resting place and enjoy putting my all into every garden I design and border that I plant.
I changed career path to Garden Design to explore my neverending passion for plants and design, to express myself creatively in a different way and not least to pursue a dream that never went away.
